What distinguishes a Legacy Home?

It’s a matter of personal preference, but here are the four essentials we recommend you consider.

You're going to need rooms

Look for at least four bedrooms. For small children, consider spacious rooms that can fit bunkbeds. Many Legacy Homes also have guest houses -- or bunkhouses, as we call them in Montana.

Live Outdoors

Look for homes with outdoor areas for cooking, bonfires, and picnic tables for group dining. Mature trees for climbing and swings is also smart. Of course, a decent size lawn for outdoor games.

Variety is Key

Water -- whether river or lake frontage -- is a real bonus, providing swimming, boating, fishing. Look for properties with convenient access to water, hiking, and biking trails.

Lighten the Work

Large groups of people can mean lots of cooking, laundry, and provisioning. Look for a home with spacious kitchen, laundry, and storage. Many hands make light work.
